It’s a good idea to have some cash on hand when traveling internationally, although many restaurants and shops accept Visa and Mastercard. We recommend withdrawing cash from ATMs at the airport after clearing customs. Locally, the nearest ATMs are Banorte and BBVA in Todos Santos, about a 15-minute drive from Villa Luz. Banorte generally offers lower fees and higher withdrawal limits.
Pro tip: If an ATM asks whether you want to accept its currency conversion, select “decline” or “deny conversion.” You’ll still receive your cash, but at your bank’s exchange rate, which is often more favorable.
